Parent Teacher Meeting ( PTM )

Swollen eyed tear stricken faces faces greeted me,

Stone faced angry parents I could see.

I prepared myself to be cast in every lasting glam,

As with my not get trembling legs I entered the gate of doom.

With unsure eyes I glimpsed ground,

But nothing comforting was to be found.

Oh, but what different emotions was I surrounded by,

Happiness, anger crying about to cry.

The teachers grinning like a cherish cat,

Children waiting with tears wet and fat.

Parents glaring like their eyes could melt,

And few children frightened of the anger to be felt.

Sometime later, I found myself sitting on the chair,

Listening to the teacher rant about me without a care.

I gathered all my innocentness and looked at the teacher,

Who had now started counting my mischiefs on her fingers.

She threw a fork out of the classroom window,

My excuse paled under my mom’s raised eyebrow.

Not to mention during the classes, she was reading book,

“Mam! Yu encourage us to read”, my words flattered under her murderous look.

My mom’s eyes had long since left their socket,

But my dad was chill, hands in his pockets.

“We are sorry, she won’t do it again”,

My dad said the well versed line in vain.

“I am not done!”, teacher frantically shook her head,

“Just listen, ow in hyst few months, they make us half-dead.”

Dad was nodding in auto-pilot mode,

And now even I was starting to get bored.

After 1 minute, 23 milliseconds and 1 nano second, yes I kept track,

Did she finally stop and let us go back.
